Yikes, June is FLYING by!!! There’s just a week and a half left to take advantage of our STAMPAGANZA promotion (Buy 2 stamp sets, get one FREEEE) as well as the June Stamp of the Month (Life Is Tweet). Get all the information you need for both specials from my June newsletter.
I did a card today, using the Life Is Tweet set along with Art Philosophy and some paper from the Lucy Collection. I used my Gypsy to create my cut file (you could also use the free Cricut Craftroom tool!). When you layer images on top of each other in either design program, they will cut the middle shapes out of the larger shape, as long as welding is not on. Instead of stamping on the shape I cut out, I used the negative space as a guide to stamp on my background cardstock. Then my cut file acted as a frame for my stamped image. The birds in the cut are from Serenade.

I will put the scallop circle right in the Life Is Tweet stamp envelope so that I have it handy for another project
I inked up the edges of my pieces with Cocoa ink and used foam tape to make the card dimensional. Remember that at Heart2Heart we’re using ribbon in our projects, so I’ll add this to the creative entries over there as well 🙂
Here’s a quick look at some cute birds that will be finding their way onto some cards soon too! These birds are from the Life Is Tweet set and coloured with Distress Markers and a watercolour brush…

Cute card. I love how you used the negative space as a focal point. I too love my Distress Markers and to color. We are never to old to still love to color.
