Get Well Soon Fry Box

Over at the Cricut Circle Blog, the weekly challenge is “Under the Weather.”

The Challenge: Create a Get Well card or gift set for a friend, family member, or acquaintance. Be sure to incorporate a Cuttlebug embossing folder, kraft cardstock, and string somewhere on your project.

I used the CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge (have I mentioned it’s my favourite right now?!) and decided to cut out the fry box for the firsttime.  You can find the fry box on page 27.

I used my Gypsy to fit the fry box as big as possible on an 8.5″ x 11″ piece of kraft cardstock.  I cut out a liner for inside the box and a strip to go across the front by hand, from the BRAND NEW Stella B&T Duos paper from Close to My Heart.  It will be available to the purchase on February 1, 2012, along with many other great new products as the new Idea Book launches!

I used Cocoa Ink to distress all the sides of the box and used my Cuttlebug to emboss some Colonial White cardstock.  The flowers were cut from the AP Cartridge as well, and use Core’dinations Cardstock.  The sentiment is from Say It In Style (D1283) and also stamped with Cocoa Ink.  Finishing it off with a little bling and waxy flax made my little fry box complete!

Now, this week, I’m the sick one!  I’ve had laryngitis now for 6 days so just for fun I filled my creation with things I know any crafter would love if they weren’t feeling well!  lol  The thought of using these supplies actually did get me up and into the studio to create!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!
