Dotty on the Wall!

I wanted to show you another use for your Dotty for You paper pack today.  Thinking outside the scrapbook and cards, I used the Dotty paper, Art Philosophy and Word Collage to create some fun wall art!

The frames that I picked up fit an 8″x8″ size piece of paper so I cut my paper accordingly and then set it aside.  I chose some word art from the Word Collage cartridge and cut them out in brown vinyl at approximately 5″ (the alphabet was a longer phrase and just cut into two sections).  I think dark brown is a great colour to combine with the many shades in the Dotty paper.

Once the vinyl was weeded, I used clear transfer tape to transfer it from the vinyl backing to my freshly cut 8″x8″ pieces of paper.   I used Art Philosophy to cut out the heart for the alphabet art – I think it gave a bit of “pop” and really finished the piece off (I did the alphabet art in both yellow and green because I just couldn’t decide!)  I keep using the “dotty” sides but it is important to know that there is a slew of other patterns on the opposite side of every sheet.  This really is a GREAT pack!  (Find out more about the current special here)

Here are my final pieces, framed and ready for the wall!  Whose wall, we will have to wait and see!
